Are alcohol disinfectant wipes suitable for disinfecting all surfaces?

Update:20 Dec

1. Scope of application of alcohol disinfectant wipes
Alcohol disinfectant wipes are mainly used for disinfection of surfaces, such as door handles, desktops, mobile phones, etc. These surfaces are usually smooth and easy to wipe and disinfect with alcohol wipes. The alcohol component in alcohol wipes can effectively kill viruses and bacteria, making the surface of objects cleaner and more hygienic.

2. Surfaces not suitable for alcohol disinfectant wipes
Sensitive or fragile surfaces: Some surfaces may be sensitive to alcohol or easily damaged by alcohol. For example, some wooden furniture, leather products, or surfaces with special coatings may fade, deform, or be damaged after contact with alcohol.
Inside electronic devices: Alcohol disinfectant wipes are not suitable for internal disinfection of electronic devices. Because alcohol may penetrate into the inside of electronic devices, causing circuit short circuits or damage. For cleaning and disinfection of electronic devices, special electronic device cleaners should be used or the manufacturer's cleaning guidelines should be followed.
Food contact surfaces: Although alcohol can be disinfected, it is not recommended to disinfect food contact surfaces. Because alcohol may remain on the surface and then be absorbed by food, posing a potential risk to human health. For cleaning and disinfection of food contact surfaces, food-grade cleaners should be used or relevant food safety standards should be followed.

3. Precautions for use
Avoid contact with eyes and wounds: The alcohol content in alcohol disinfectant wipes may cause irritation and pain to eyes and wounds. Therefore, direct contact with these parts should be avoided when using.
Pay attention to storage and preservation: Alcohol disinfectant wipes should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature environment. At the same time, they should be kept away from fire sources and flammable items to prevent safety accidents such as fire or explosion.
